Batman has been one of the most iconic super heroes of all time and has spawned a massive amount of products. Video games are no different as there are countless Batman video games on the market. More recently we were able to get our Batman fill from Warner Bros. Batman: Arkham Asylum which gave us a kind of 3D stealth beat em’ up game.

Well, building on the success of Arkham Asylum, Warner Bros. will be going on to release Batman: Arkham City for just about every major console including the PC, PS3, Xbox 360 and even the Wii U. While we haven’t heard of much in terms of official gameplay for the game Warner Bros. has come forth today to show us the game’s official box art which we’ve included for your viewing pleasure above.

Be sure to let us know what you think of the box art and prepare yourself for the game’s release on the above mentioned consoles come this October.

More pop culture-referencing Retro City Rampage screens. Im happy VBlank Entertainment is putting out more media for this WiiWare tribute to Grand Theft Auto and old NES games a trailer is coming out soon, too!

Speaking of Gin & Produce, the other day, my wife and I were picking up some cat food at PetSmart when I pointed out to her that one of the dogs up for adoption there was named Sandy, to which she replied, Oh that bitch?

We proceeded to trade off lines to the rest of that Gin & Juice verse while thecashier rang up our cat food. It was beautiful. Im sure an angel received its wings for that.

Retro City Rampage/Retro Theftendo screenshot (click for a larger image). Originally created as an NES-style Grand Theft Auto demake and submitted to the Independent Games Festival last year, Retro City Rampage is now slated to release on WiiWare this fall.

The game offers an 8-bit open world you can explore, various missions you can take on, more than 30 vehicles you can steal (including what looks like the DeLorean from Back to the Future), and more. And for those of you wondering, no, this isnt from Rockstar.

You might recognize the games primary developer, VBlank Entertainments Brian Provinciano, for his homebrew NES project that received a lot of attention years ago: Grand Theftendo. Provinciano had worked on that game since 2002 and planned to release it in 2005, but that never happened it looks like his work on that title transformed into Retro City Rampage.

Heres what Grand Theftendo looked like:

I cant wait for VBlank to put out some videos for the WiiWare game and show how much Retro City Rampage has changed in the past five years. Its amazing that Provinciano stuck with this project for so long, and Im glad that well finally have a chance to play it!
